National Apple Harvest Festival, Adams County, Pa. The apple will be celebrated at the 49th edition of this event, held Oct. 5 and 6 and Oct. 12 and 13 in Adams County, Pa., near Gettysburg. Apple products - from ciders and jellies to pancakes and sausages - will be the main event at food stands, along with other local foods. Hundreds of beer-focused events, like tastings and meet-and-greets with local brewers, will take place during San Diego Beer Week, an annual 10-day festival from Nov. 1 to 10 that highlights the region's beer-brewing heritage and culture. In Traverse City, Mich., a craft brewery "Pub crawl" will be the opening event for the Traverse City Beer Week.
