The Dow Jones industrial average rose 76 points, or 0.5 percent, to 15,072 Friday. The S&P 500 rose 11 points, or 0.7 percent, to 1,690 and the Nasdaq composite index rose 33 points, or 0.9 percent, to 3,807. Two stocks rose for every one that fell on the New York Stock Exchange. Volume was below average at 2.8 billion shares.
